I love my kiddos...Lord knows I do.
But they stay giving me all kinds of cooties.
Another weekend, another cold.
Go figure.

The appropriateness of inappropriateness
Miss, whats wrong with reading an article on my favorite singer?" he asked.
Nevermind this was in the middle of class when I had to take a magazine from one of my students. When I looked at the cover however, all I could do was shake my head.
It was Ashanti on the cover of King Magazine scantily clad with her digitally enhanced titties.
Ah, the joys of middle school.
As he argued and pleaded with me not to report, all I could say is "you know that isn't appropriate!"
But who in the hell am I kidding? It was absolutely appropriate. Let me explain myself.
So a 13 year old boy brought in a magazine to look at boobies and booty. The teacher in me would say "I'm calling your mother!" Me in sneakers would say "let me see" (most women have a little quasi lesbian in them whether they choose to believe it or not). I have to be honest with myself. Do I really expect kids newly initiated into their teenage years not to think about breasts and pecs? I mean really.
True story: So I'm in class with some of my favorite students. I'm walking around as they are working on a project...and I begin to hear strange noises. Like making a sexy time noises. Giggling ensues and in turn I give the student "the eye."
"That is not appropriate" I say.
"But its natural Miss" another student chirps in. "I'm sure you've made those sounds before."
Now don't get me wrong, it is wrong to talk to an adult that manner (and I definitely let him know it)...but shit, he was right (even though its more like beeeffooorrreee if you catch my drift).
What do you say?
Afterwards, I told the class that although I appreciated the level of comfort they feel with me, that some things shouldn't be said.
Good enough right?
But seriously, how can I condemn them for having freaky thoughts. I am the same person who once typed up the lyrics to lil' kim's "Dreams" in typing class. My friends and I used to sing Akinyele (yeah, THAT song) within earshot of our teachers. Hell, we used to try to do splits in class (well not me, I just watched). Damn, now that I think about it, we were much worse.
So how can I knock them? Despite all my nonsense, at heart I was quite the prude even well into college, and I'm willing to bet that most of my students will be too. So for now, hear no evil...see no evil I guess.
...and hopefully they'll remain all talk...at least until 2015 or so.

Charming.
So who won the the second season of I love Money?
Certainly not Saaphyri.
She recently got popped for a three year bid for being on the run since 2005.
On the run.
Interestingly enough, Saaphyri Wanda has made numerous television appearances since skipping out on a court date involving the theft of her uncle's identity. Had she appeared in court that day, she would have faced around six-months max.
For your viewing pleasure..............

Music makes the viral go round
I LOVE VIRAL.
Video that is.
From the bizarre to the damn right sad, random online footage can be the perfect remedy for even the worst case of boredom (as I am suffering from right now...laying in bed sick is sooo not the business). However, there are times where just the video isn't enough. Sometimes you need that perfect soundtrack to add that extra spice.
Exhibit #1
Nothing funny about this...right? Poor baby. But get in the lab, add some music, stir it up a bit and...
VOILA!!!!!!!!!! Awesome viral video.
Exhibit #2- Watch out for the big girls
At most this ghettotastic video would bring a chuckle and the gas face. Shiiiiiiittttttt, you might even twerk a lil' to it.
This video needs a lil' magic.
Would you look at that? From mildly amusing to hilariously bizarre in two seconds flat.
Sometimes you just gotta realize that its the music stupid! Thank goodness for people who have infinite time on their hands.

Chris Brown- The face of remorse.
What would you do if you were a 19 year old dude accused of assaulting your famous girlfriend then fleeing on foot like a runaway slave?
Go into hiding? Check.
Partake in guilt ridden silence? Check.
Issue the obligatory apology claiming counseling from your pastor? Yep.
So whats next? Radio interview? Nope. Award show pleading a la Justin Timberlake? Negative. Cry your heart out on Oprah? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
PARTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DUUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEEEEEEE
Look @ this niggarish nigga. Instead of laying low and at least pretending to have a drop of remorse, this fool is in Miami doin' it up at Diddy's mansion (Oh Diddy, always managing to insert himself into something-take that how you want). The new word on the street is that Chris' camp AND Rhianna's camp were holed up in Miami trying to make the star crossed lovers reconcile their differences. No sight of Rhianna, but Rhianna AND her peoples ARE there.
*At press time, everyone is off to LA to face the music*
Now I must admit, I laughed my ass off when I first saw this pic and its STILL funny as hell to me. Right now I'm battling walking pneumonia so I sound like a cross between a donkey and Bea Arthur. I mean, scroll up a bit and look at the pic again. Better yet...
Take a closer look. Do you you see the joy in this fool's face? I have seldom seen such pure happiness in anyone much less someone who has been very publicly put on blast.
The truly sad part is that it sends a clear message that you can pummel a female and straight cheese on jetski like not a damn thing happened.
Rhianna, if you get back with him, I don't know what the hell to say to you either. I'll have no ammo to explain to some of my students who insist what happened to you is your fault.
May a thousand chumleys rain on both of them.
p.s. Who is Chumley you ask? Youtube it.
